Claire, one of my former work colleagues contacted me. Her Wedding had been cancelled due to Covid-19 and the professional photographer they had booked could not make the new date. She asked me if I could help her. I told her I would be delighted to photograph her wedding. She asked me what fee did I want. I told her nothing as she was a friend. Just give me a “nice bottle of wine” I told her.
So today, Claire her husband to be Alex, together with 10 guests gathered at the venue. It rained hard most of the day and therefore most of the shots were indoors. We did get a little window of opportunity to do a few garden shots in the drizzle and this is one I particularly like. Shot on the tree lined road up to the venue.
Everyone had to wear face mask and be socially distanced during the ceremony, luckily Claire and Alex were exempt from wearing masks.
@busylady@quietpurplehaze Judith and Haze, thanks for the confidence in me to do it professionally. I enjoyed shooting the wedding as i used to work with claire for a couple of years, so there was no pressure of doing it for money, it was a relaxed shoot, albeit with covid restrictions. Although I was surprised how I just did it naturally, directing people for the shoot !
