Yesterdays was country lanes and big trees / skies. Today's is an urban underpass.
Jane and Ruby on a "local lockdown walk / exercise" as part of the current "Stay at Home" rules from the government.
The Urban underpass, which is officially 1.8 km from our house (in a straight line, not that we walked in a straight line), ticks the government instruction of "stay local".
It is not as grim as it looks, as the underpass connects two leafy suburbs and is used to connect pupils to the primary school entrance, just to the side of the exit. I've never photographed the underpass before, I think it has potential for gritty urban portraits...maybe after lockdown though, not that I have anyone to photograph and approaching strangers in an underpass for my 100 strangers is pushing my luck a bit !
I wouldn't recommend loitering there after dark

I love how Jane often seems to be shown with Ruby on her left but the lead in her right hand behind her back. It seems a lovely casual way to walk together, I like it.
Very nice b&w shot, Phil. Looks like Jane and Ruby are taking it easy on their walking. My daughter's corgi (he is about 6 months old) is too lazy to take out for walks. I go to check on him twice a day when she and her husband are both at work and try to take him for a short walk but he resists with all his strenght and I have to take him back inside or he pulls his head out of the leash collar and runs off to home which is too dangerous for me to allow.
This is great in B&W. It is hard to come up with interesting places/subjects during lockdowns. We have an announcement tomorrow that will be likely enforcing more restrictions. Stay safe!
