Arnold In The Snow

Another snow shot from last Sunday

I had an hour walking around Arnold at dusk, capturing how the snow transforms a scene

This is the junction of Coppice Road / Church Street / Cross Street / Front Street, a busy junction.

Things you can see, the Number 58 bus stop. It is almost a year now since we last caught a bus. We used to travel regularly on them to the city centre, but since Covid and lockdown, it is not something we have done !

You can see the library (closed due to lockdown) and Bonnington Theatre (we have a thriving theatre / cinema, once again no productions for a year)

A nice photo but a sad story when you look deeper

Sony A6000, 35mm prime lens and tripod
Wonderful black and white capture! Looks very cold and a bit confusing. Do they have a stop light for every lane?

@jackies365 jackie, this is a suburb of the city , we are about 4 miles from the city centre

@marlboromaam Maggie, yes a stop light for every lane, it works OK, it used to be a mini roundabout !

Nice shot Phil. Your lens has produced lovely starsburst from the lights.

Clear crisp BW scene, neatly captured

Really sad - pubs boarded up finally round here that should have been packed with Sunday lunchers. Lovely starbursts though.

Your city looks quiet & empty....no buzz anywhere is there! Our library’s are still open but you can drop your read books off & if you say what sort of books you like they will pick some out for you...the library van is working the same system too.
