Woodthorpe Park Sculpture by phil_howcroft

Woodthorpe Park Sculpture

This sculpture can be seen in Woodthorpe Park , Nottingham.

It is on the edge of the park, an old tunnel that went under a road, part of the disused line that connected Arnold / Daybrook to Nottingham.

I posted in Black and White because steam train photos have to be in black and white

I think you're correct! Nice photo full of texture, art and history!

This is great! Has a bit of a Harry Potter feel to it.

Oh! That's clever. It puts me in mind of the Thomas the Tank Engine Story where poor old Henry was bricked up in a tunnel for being naughty (sadistic; I'm glad I wasn't one of the Rev Awdry's kids). Maybe this is him breaking out.

What a fabulous sculpture. We are all huge steam train fans, so this really appeals.

Fantastic sculpture and perfectly positioned. Well done on the b&w selection and I agree with you. Looks very much like the real thing.
