My Garden July 2019

Continuing my ongoing project, another shot of my back garden, one month on from the last one.

The rain that fell last month has not only replenished both of my water-butts (Carole says I have an obsession with them) but has also revitalised the garden; both the lawn and the border.

There is more colour this month by way of the the Agapanthus and Lavender both of which have appeared; the Lupins have all but gone over and the Hollyhock and Delphiniums have also run their course for this year. The Dahlias continue to grow, very few in flower yet, hopefully they will soon be blooming to provide colour in August’s garden photograph and also some good subject for both Carole and I to use. The 10 I planted in the green house, 7 grew and they are out in the small bed that you can just about make out behind the patio furniture to the right of the picture. The Lawn continues to recover slowly, but far far quicker than the front lawn which is, frankly, a complete mess. The sharp eyed among you may notice that I’ve taken off some of the low branches of the trees - I kept smacking my head on them mowing the lawn)

Thank you for your continued interest in my garden/yard. All of the previous photographs are tagged philsgarden and if you wish to see it change through the months (obviously only if you feel that way inclined and have nothing better to do) then click on that tag.
Your lawn is recovering nicely. It has been a long process but it is getting there.

The lawn is so much better than it was 12months ago Phil !Nice to see the garden evolving as the months go by - you are in the blue/purple period while I am on a similar colour spectrum with purple, pink and white (my hydrangeas are pink ). Lovely shot - you should be playing croquet on that lawn !!
