Okay. Hands up all of you who thought this hill, famous for the Hovis Bread advert, was in Yorkshire?
Nope, it's in Shaftesbury, Dorset.
Gold Hill is a steep cobbled street in the town of Shaftesbury in the English county of Dorset. It is famous for its picturesque appearance; the view looking down from the top of the street has been described as "one of the most romantic sights in England." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_Hill,_Shaftesbury?wprov=sfsi1
@30pics4jackiesdiamond thank you. Weather was wet, miserable and very low cloud. In colour the photograph looked totally wasned out. Thought about B&W to reduce that negative wffect and, then, exactly that Jackie, I chosenSepia for the brown bread.
A lovely capture of this well known scene (all you need is the boy , his bike and his Hovis !)Beautifully edited in Sepia ,making the scene appear timeless !
