Reflections of an Autumnal Lake by phil_sandford

Reflections of an Autumnal Lake

Spent a few hours at Hartsholme Park this morning with @carole_sandford. I was determined not to take any macro shots (but you may see some as fillers during the week) but kept finding mushrooms.......
I've come to the conclusion that the 'Mark 1, issued at birth, Eye Ball' see far more than the Canon EOS and for this shot, in order to capture the colours of the trees, the reflections in the lake, that I could see, I put the camera to manual (way out of my comfort zone) and played with the Aperture, ISO and Speed settings, trying to keep the ISO and Speed as fast as possible. I know that it looks over-exposed to hell, but it kind of works for me, that and it was a dull, misty morning weatherwise.
Other than the manual setting, the only editing has been done with photoshop; trimming some of the top & bottom off the pic to produce this.
Hope you like it, I do; constructive criticism & suggestions always welcome
I know what you mean about over exposed, but I think it works pretty well too!

I think the high exposure really keeps the feeling of the misty day while you still have those pretty fall colors and wonderful reflections. Like this in the panorama format. Nicely done.
