Not certain whether this is the female or the male; I've watched quite a bit of 'courting' going on in the vicinity of the bird feeder today whilst waiting for coffee to brew (supposed to be working). This one is taking bits of fat and flying into the Holly/Forsythia bushes in the corner of the border - I'm sure he/she is feeding his/her mate
Still, he/she is a favourite subject of mine when I'm lost for inspiration and have little time. Never fails to appear and pose ................
Great pose for you. The robins in our area have the orange chest, but their back feathers are brown. It's amazing all the different beautiful breeds of birds I see on 365.
@henrir Likewise. The photographs of the birds from the US and from Australia/New Zealand are amazing, so so many varieties and colours (and some with similar sounding names)
