Playing with macro lens again and trying to het to grips with depth of field today.
We bought this chess set in Gran Canaria last year. The board is as fine a piece of marquetry you'll ever see, but not particularly in this shot. The pieces are all hand carved and the individual differences make the set what it is.
I play the game, Carole does not, so it's more of an ornament (and now a photography subject) than a play thing.
