The Lion Roars

Another for the ‘Flash of Red’ February challenge.

This week sees the flashofred2018 challenge move to 'compositional elements' of photography. My reading on this subject is from this site; very educational.

Today rule #7 - Patterns and Textures using the alloy wheel of the loan car I’m in after mine went poorly last weekend. Taken with my iPhone just after I got back to my weekday accommodation this evening, before the four and a half hour commute home for the weekend (no news as yet as to when mine will be fixed, so I will continue to enjoy this one a bit longer)

For more info on the Flash of Red Challenge for February 2018 please see here -

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated
I like the lines & shapes in this.

This is a clever shot - sadly Micras seldom roar unless there is a hole in the exhaust ...

Beautiful lines and shapes. Such a clear focus on the lion.

I like that you've chosen to capture this vertically instead of horizontally (which is how you see them most of the time). The spokes do a great job of directing you to the emblem. Nice shot!
