I hadn't seen the Sparrowhawk since I posted him last month, with what looked like a poorly foot. I must admit I was fearing for him until Carole just called me into the kitchen and there he was, sat on one of the maple trees looking over the meadow behind our house (funnily enough, all the passerine birds were nowhere to be seen, and the pigeon sat on the fence by the feeder was totally and utterly frozen to the spot - Sparrowhawk will take pigeons)
Pleased to see him back and looking well. (Title and text amended as I now know he’s male)
