Lazy River by phil_sandford

Lazy River

This is actually my idea of a great holiday; slow, lazy, get there when you get there. I don’t know if these guys live on this narrowboat or are holidaying (they navigated the lock a few minutes later with ease) but they seemed so at peace. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure I’d never get Carole on one.

Thank you for your comments on yesterdays last photograph if year 3 - on we go with year 4.
My kind of holday too! For years we used to do this in France. Loovely shot.

It does look like a lovely way to travel. I don't think I would get David on a holiday like this though, he gets seasick in the bath, ha ha.

A very long time since I've been on a canal boat. It can be a very relaxing time. Nice picture Phil ☺

@louannwarren just for information, not a criticism - up to 7ft wide they are narrow boats, over 7ft wide they are barges. Long boats where launched from sailing ships and generally rowed ☺

Lovely shot. My friend used to say that life is a journey not a race.

You've reminded me of my sister-in-law who said she had a lovely holiday on one of these.....except that there was a hole in the teapot!
