Arlington Row, Bibury by phil_sandford

Arlington Row, Bibury

I’m having a ‘Bachelor’s Weekend.’ It was my leaving doo, from my old employers, in Cheltenham last night and, as Carole is working long days (0730-1930) Saturday and Sunday I’m not heading home this weekend.

I drove back to Bath via the gorgeous village of Bibury, 7 miles or so north of Cirencester to take this classic shot of the houses on Arlington Row. I’ve seen today that No9 is available to rent from the NT website (may well investigate that further)

I’m currently back in my weekly digs watching the Six Nations rugby matches. Hoping if weather is kind to get down to Stourhead tomorrow morning and be back here for the England Ireland match.
Great pov to see the architecture and roof lines

It’s very pretty here & you can definitely feel that you have sipped back to a bygone age. Lovely B&W.

Love this village shot, love the pov and that there are people walking. Many of our favorite TV shows come from the BBC. We usually get them on our PBS channel or from our Acorn TV subscription. Many of them are set in small villages like this.
