Robin Redbreast by phil_sandford

Robin Redbreast

My second offering for this month’s ‘Rainbow Challenge’ - it’s Monday so it’s red.

We’ve had three Robins flitting about in the garden this morning; at one stage there were two sat on the bird bath with a third in the magnolia above them; would have been a great shot if my camera hadn’t been in the other room. Bu the time I returned, there was only one on show basking in the sunshine on the fence.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
Simply beautiful - great close-up and detail - fav

Beautiful shot of the bird. Today I learned that American Robins and English Robins do NOT look anything alike. I have noticed a few English robins on this site and thought it didn’t look like what I was used to. So finally I looked it up.....totally different. Ours have much more red all down the front and look bigger also.

@shutterbug49 Oh yes. We learnt that a couple of years ago on this site; the American Robin is stunning.
