Haven’t seen this before. Have seen the blackbirds jump in it for a bit, and most of the visiting birds, including the Sparrowhawk, drink from it, but have never seen a Pigeon sleep in it. And it was literally full of water as I had cleaned and refilled it yesterday.
It literally stayed in the bath for over an hour, moving only to convey the message to Blackbirds and Finches that the bath was busy.
I love my garden.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
That's so sweet! That might be a bird that belongs to someone. My dad used to keep pigeons when I was a child, and in the pigeon loft he put round cardboard nesting boxes that were made from kind of cardboard/paper mache. The birds would nest in them to lay their eggs. You may find eggs in there at some point! Good luck!
