Goldfinch

I reckon a feeder full of Sunflower Hearts lasts around 48 hours, less when these guys come in for it. The most colourful of the finches we have in the UK.

Busy day today, lots of car admin (insurance, tax etc) to get out of the way, quick dive into the city to pick up some new curtains (gave me an excuse to drive Carole’s new wheels) and then we swapped into mine for a trip to the garden centre as, in Carole’s words, “you’re not putting dirty plants in my car.” 🤣🤣
