Late evening sunshine (not today’s) catching the new Maple leaves, with dark ominous storm clouds in the background. What a day of weather we’ve had here in the Shire. I think we’ve had all of ‘April’s Showers’ in 24 hours. My water butts are full, in readiness for the drought that will undoubtedly follow in a week or so, and my garden appears sated also. Just need to know that the frosts are over and done, and I can sow my seeds and get some plants out of the greenhouse and into the borders.
