I put in a new tub of peanut butterly yesterday. I also only said this morning to Carole that we hadn’t seen any birds feeding their young this year. Less than an hour later, the Starlings descended with their young. There were probably around 6 or 7 adults with about 15 or more fledglings all over the garden, in the trees, on the fence, on the ground with the adults fighting over access to the peanut butter tub and, by 4pm it was empty, stripped clean.
This little fledgling was the bravest, coming down very close to the feeder so Mum didn’t have far to find it.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
