I have to admit, I wonder if this is just too white, too hi-key (and I know Carole thinks along those lines also). I think for the rest of the month I'll avoid white flowers.

@louannwarren I agree, white on white isn't easy. I had to rollback the settings on the camera, hence the background in the bottom left is slightly grey, or the poppy would have been all but invisible. I suppose I could have used LR to adjust areas, but am trying to do this month with just the camera settings and minimal adjustment post exposure.
I agreee that you have lost a little definition in the flower and white on white is always difficult. I have found high-key is sometimes more successful in b&w - paradoxically!
@quietpurplehaze Have just played with this photo in LR and turned it to B&W. Further manipulation brings out the flower a tad …… all good learning for me.
