Today's shot is the 'red' in the 'flash of red challenge' being expertly managed by @olivetreeann again. This year though, it's 'selective colour' which unfortunately our cameras do not do with a 'setting' so it requires post editing. I always struggled with it in Photoshop, having to create new layers etc, even after watching numerous YouTube videos of folk saying and showing how easy it is, but in Creative Cloud, Lightroom, it's simplicity itself, just slide sliders.
The photograph was taken on Valentines Day, using one of the roses I bought for Carole (I'm a romatic (but needed red for the challenge)) and I've published today to get it in the 'middle' of my calendar (Carole will be doing the same). Even if I say it myself, looks half decent on black.
Thankyou for your continued engagement, very much appreciated.
Instant fav, Phil. In a way I admire the effort required and taken to produce s/c in post-processing but my camera has a setting which I always use. This is beautiful.
@quietpurplehaze Thank you Hazel. My old Canon Powershot had that function, but I got rid of it and supposedly upgraded to a newer model, that doesn't have it. How that was an 'upgrade' I'm not sure
I understand what you say, Phil! I absolutely love my Sonya6000 but panomara shots are a nightmare to get despite having the function. In contrast my little LumixTZ25 which cost peanuts years ago, does them beautifully.
