Get Busy Living

Today’s word, ‘living’ resonated this afternoon at Leicester Tigers; the death yesterday of the rugby legend Doddie Weir from MND at just 52 coincided with fund raising for the Matt Hampson foundation (Matt broke his neck training with England Under 21s in 2005 and is paralysed from the neck down) and his foundation runs the Get Living Centre providing rehabilitation to folk with spinal injuries.

Given I was robbed in the Apple Store on my walk down to the ground, when I bought a new strap for my Watch (How Much!!??), I was happy to drop some money into the collection tins for both charities.

Tigers played London Irish today (known affectionally as the Not Nots (as they’re not based in London and they’re not Irish)) in only our 3rd Home match this season. A far closer game than it should perhaps have been, saw Tigers narrowly scrape home 33-31 (yes Jak, that’s a lot of goals).

During a break in play, God brought out his finest colour pallet

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
Sad day for rugby. Good result today and what a beautiful sky.

We had the same sort of sky back in Lincs this evening too. Such an amazing colour!

You were robbed - literally or just mean the watch strap was hugely expensive? Nice look at the crowds here!

It certainly was well planned. That’s almost worth stopping the game for. It is a very good shot for the Foundation which helps injured individuals live.

God did a grand job of that sky! The Not Nots....I have never heard that nickname before, it's brilliant!

I was at the SCO v All Blacks game a couple of weeks ago when Doddle and his family delivered the match ball - an ovation from both teams and the 67,000 in the crowd. An emotional moment. A sad loss of a true gentle giant of the game.

What a wonderful narrative Phil. :-)

A sad day and it brings home the horrors of MND. Nice shot and interesting narrative.

Oh my what a lovely sky. I have deliberately stayed away from the apple store because I really would like a new band for my watch.
