Carole and I did the National Grid initiative of reducing power consumption to aid the expected power surge (and get paid for it) so as we needed photographs, and food for the evening, we popped out to Lincoln to the cathedral. (We’ll find out what Eon are paying us in a day or so)
May I take this opportunity to thank you, and all other smart meter users, for enabling me to stay indoors, in the warmth, watch tv with the lights on and boil the kettle, all guilt free as no extra emissions or pollution produced.
You so enjoy standing here to get this view and at night those two people sillhouttes really give scale to the buildings.
sorry @kjarn my misunderstanding. Literally turn things off and cut your electricity use. That’s it. There was a personal target to aim for, can’t remember what it was, and they said they’ll let me know if we achieved it and what money I’d get. I am not expecting a great deal, as I already make Carole sit in the dark, wearing 3 jumpers under a blanket with 1 candle burning. 😜
