Last Cut? by phil_sandford

Last Cut?

Managed to mow front and back lawns before giving in to this pesky virus; raked out some more dead areas in front lawn and sowed grass seed (I did some a week or so ago and it’s sprouting) earlier. Still think I’ll be buying rolls of turf next year, or 10 tonnes of gravel, as it’s taken an absolute hammering this Summer.

Watching Yesterday on the box as Sudafed does its magic.

The lawn looks very nice despite the virus. Hope you feel better soon. A great match this afternoon, very close contest!

@carole_sandford Looks okay from a distance. This will be easier to fix than the front.

Your lawn is looking good. We don't put much effort into our lawns because during summer the grass disappears anyway. It has been around 30 degrees c here for the last few days too and it is only
Spring. Not much rain either so I suspect our lawns will disappear earlier than usual this year.

@onewing Our front lawn, which is large, is in the sun, from sun up to sun down. This year the summer started 3 days after I’d had the lawn scarified, it didn’t stand a chance. I’m on a water meter, and though we didn’t have a hosepipe ban, I’m not wasting water on grass. If these Summers prove to be the new norm, then I’ll look at replacing the grass with something ….. ……

@phil_sandford Wise move, we don't waste water on grass either. We water the plants but if the grass survives it survives, if not so be it.
