Managed to mow front and back lawns before giving in to this pesky virus; raked out some more dead areas in front lawn and sowed grass seed (I did some a week or so ago and it’s sprouting) earlier. Still think I’ll be buying rolls of turf next year, or 10 tonnes of gravel, as it’s taken an absolute hammering this Summer.

Spring. Not much rain either so I suspect our lawns will disappear earlier than usual this year.
@onewing Our front lawn, which is large, is in the sun, from sun up to sun down. This year the summer started 3 days after I’d had the lawn scarified, it didn’t stand a chance. I’m on a water meter, and though we didn’t have a hosepipe ban, I’m not wasting water on grass. If these Summers prove to be the new norm, then I’ll look at replacing the grass with something ….. ……
