On holiday for a few days. After dropping two grandkids at school and another at ‘work experience’ I pushed off to Sleaford to spend some time at Cogglesford Mill on the river Slea.
I saw the Kingfisher around ten times; by that I mean I saw the flash of blue & orange as it shot down the river. I didn’t see it alight anywhere. I spent three and a half hours, in temperatures of plus 32°c and the best shot I got was this.
I love the leading line of the water to the bridge. I think it’s a beautiful capture, but I can understand your disappointment in not being able to capture the king fisher.
Hubby and I still have a lifelong ambition to see and photograph a kingfisher. Only ever saw a flash of colour in the corner of the eye! This looks a tranquil spot
