I love the nature of this place so much, it's just impossible to explain. The wind, the smell, the landscape, the endless ocean in five minutes walk, the weather that changes five times a day. The only thing I still don't really like is the sun shining in the sky 24 hours a day (and in winter the opposite happens – 40-days long endless night with only northern lights coloring black skies from time to time), but everything else here is absolutely amazing.
Today here was a low tide which made the Arctic ocean look like some southern sea. And combined with suddenly very warm weather happened this morning it really makes you want to swim. But unless you're a seal or walrus, you of course can't. Believe me. I tried. The best I could do is to get knee-deep in water and stand there for five seconds. Then I froze to my very soul.
And as if all this wasn't impressive enough, when we went for a walk we saw a couple of orca whales and several seals.
