Re-opening

After months of lockdown, Melbourne’s Covid-19 impact has seen the daily new case numbers fall from a peak of over 700 per day back to zero within the space of a few months.
Hard fought pain for much gain.
We are heading towards operating in a state of “Covid normal”.
Within the last few days, our wonderful cafes and restaurants have now been able to re-open - albeit with strict Covid rules in place.
A big shout out to those who followed the rules, wore masks, got tested as soon as any symptoms appeared and basically just made the best of what is really an unprecedented event for which the rule book had to be written as the situation was unfolding.
And to health workers at the frontline of this pandemic - my immense gratitude and respect.

This image captures a local eatery - limited numbers at present, hence empty tables etc. (more patrons as the evening progressed), but how good it it felt to be out once again - it has been a while!
Lovely place but so far we have a limitation
