i still find it sooo difficult to create still-life images that i like. trying to get a pleasing composition and a coherent flow. still, i enjoyed faffing about in the studio with these elderly tulips and other props. meanwhile i am finally getting to grips with my wacom pen and tablet after an emergency Skype with our middle son, the engineer and fount of all knowledge, currently residing in japan, but kind and patient enough to listen to me moaning while trying to show him with my phone what i was doing with the tablet / pen and how that translated to my screen! he considered and prevailed and found me two answers so that i now believe i can master it - still some operator error to go, but the main challenges have been ironed out by him. gotta love a charmingly patient explainer :)))) [who gets that from mr g ...]
I really like this Clare, the Ikebana clippers give it a lovely touch. Interesting that your son is living in Japan, where we lived for ten years. You sure are very daring to go with the wacom tablet, hope it works well for you ;-)

I like it! It tells the story. Love the scissors leading the eye in. I have trouble with still life comps too. I have a Wacom that I got probably three years ago. Never spent enough time to get used to it. I am so much faster with the mouse. I should try again.

you certainly have a pleasing composition here. I do like the sound of the wakon pen (although not the process of learning how to use it). What a gem your son is.

Nice composition. I, too, have a Wacom tablet and pen that I rarely use. Keep thinking I'll give it a go and then I go back to the mouse :-)
