autumn rain

i've been on a bit of an icm jag, inspired by lee who has been posting some. i always like other people's and yet i can fire off twenty and only one will remotely cut the mustard. fortunately i'm not having to stock up on rolls of film for all the mistakes ;) this one has been faffed with in photoshop, including copying the original and turning the copy on its side and blending them together
Whatever you did , it works. I can see this hanging on my wall, nicely enlarged. I have not yet tried ICM. I am now glad I can actually keep my hands still for an in focus shot LOL...but those ICM shots makes me broaden my view.

I really like how it has a brushed quality, very similar to the way a palladium print does. Fav

I'm not sure what was your intention, but I like the end result very much! I can;t figure out the technique used to do this.

@monikozi @dutchothotmailcom thank you for your kind comments! there's lots of info on icm if you google it ... you need a small(er) aperture and low light to get a slow shutter speed ... and then, for me, it's pretty much trial and error as to how much movement works in the prevailing conditions and for the particular subject you've chosen ... when i say 'trial and error', that means i delete most of them ;)

@pistache I have just looked for Lee (your inspiration) and I tried to figure out. Lee's photographs are more tame than yours (tamer?). And darker. Yours are more colourful and with no intention of minimizing Lee's fantastic captures, I prefer yours.
And thanks to you and Lee, I will look into the technique and give it a try. Maybe challenge myself for a month.

I love it, sideways, or straight up, it’s great! 😊

@monikozi thank you for the compliment ... i look forward to seeing how you get on - lots of scope for finding your own take on it. and, as i say, they often don't turn out how i'd hoped :)

I love what you've done with this.
My icm results have been very mixed (mainly at the rubbish end of the scale) but maybe I'll have a faff and post one or two.

@pistache thank you for the info. I usually delete most of my pics lol...It's gonna be on my to try list :)

the double axis of movement looks great. I think it must be fairly standard with ICM to need to take a few - it is a bit hit and miss.

You've created a wonderful abstract!

Stunning. Brilliant. I don't know how I missed this until I just saw it on the curated page. I absolutely love it.
