on a mission by pistache

on a mission

spent a happy evening messing with this. my purple swamp hen is on a mission, not so much wondering where she's headed, as in my current theme, but in no doubt at all about where she's going. watching sebastian michaels on the recent photoshop summit tutorials i realised you can create whatever you like out of almost anything! hence ophelia is equipped with two scarves and some head-dresses that started out life as quite other things. i took her picture lying in the grass in a melbourne park last christmas - wow that seems an aaaaaaage ago
But it’s that riveting eye that makes the whole image. IMO.

I am not sure how smart swamp hens are. Hens are surely not dog-smart. But boy, are they amazing and fun! I had my own regular hen. I long to have a hen pet, but one of my dogs is not really in the right mind and i think it would kill the hen (probably playing with it). I am not taking any risk.
But your photo is awesome, especially on dark mode.

oh wow thank you so much dear friends for your kind comments and enthusiasm - always feel a bit uncertain posting a new composite, so it was lovely to hear the positivity - and always is, even though i don't thank you all often enough :)
@jgpittenger thanks jane - he certainly is. i have had his photoshop artistry course for a while and dipped in and out, but i really want to attend to it all in the near future!
@monikozi ah a hen pet sounds like a good thing - though maybe not as a combo with your canine friend! thank you for your comment :)

just fabulous Clare - you have become so very skilled. We had presentation from Andrea Hargreaves at camera club recently and I could only think of you and how much you would have enjoyed her explaining the thinking behind all her composites. She explained how she arrived at some of these - it was absolutely fascinating... https://www.andreahargreaves.art/p769556883
