Asilomar Beach in B&W by pixelchix

Asilomar Beach in B&W

Taken on Sunday, but processed today.....I'm working on a video so I don't want to take the time to shoot anything new today. See that tiny Jenn (@aikiuser) way out there on the rocks? I love my wide angle lens!

Stunning in B&W. Amazing texture and sky.

@nikkers hope you don't mind lots of dog hair.... ;-).

@radclyffehall Hi Sara, thanks so much for commenting. My camera is able to take multiple bracketed photos in a very short time, so it makes doing HDR shots much easier. I also do some digital dodging and burning in Photoshop to emphasize different areas of lightness and darkness, giving it more of a dynamic feel.

Another stunning landscape . . . truly!

@miranda i think my 16-35mm is my most loved lens (on my full frame d700). i am very drawn to the grand landscape type shots, and love the super wide. you should totally get one! you shoot with a crop camera right? my friend shoots with a (tamron i think?), like a 11- something and he gets some amazign shots on his d90. i am frustrated often by not being able to get down like i want to because of my physical limitations however....sometimes i see a shot in my mind and can not make it happen and thatis so frustrating as an artist!

thank you ladies so much. i've had some problems with motivation lately, and such kind and supportive comments like these really keep me going!

Mind blowing. Having full frame makes quite an extension to the usual expectation of 16mm wide angle. Wonderful shot.

Such a powerful B&W. You pull it off so well!
