I have waited 136 days for this! That's how long it is since the wall holding my washing line collapsed. It's been a real struggle finding someone to fix it and to get my washing dry indoors, so this picture makes me very happy!
@dalboy I felt it may be a little sad being sharing my joy re a washing line but your comment has reminded me it's my 365 and I should do what makes me happy and this photo will bring a smile to my face in the future - thank you
I decided a while ago that I couldn't/wasn't competing with some of the really amazing photographers it's a pleasure to view on 365, but just keeping a journal of my life. I admit sometimes I get into trying to be artistic, tho. Anyway, your shadows are great!
Thanks @barbcapecod I agree some days I just want to use 365 to record my life, others I want to improve my photo taking, it's nice to be able to do both in the same place. And thanks for the compliment re the shadows - maybe there can be something artistic about laundry after all :-)
okay, honestly I didn't see this til now...and the only reason I took mine was because of the color...I wasn't seeking it out...it found me! :-) But, I love your story! I am trying to hang my laundry more and more outside...but it's hard in the middle of the night to not throw it into the dryer...convenience...I hope the new line is holding up and that you have lots of nice warm dies for drying. The smell is the best!
@shamrockinmom I didnt really think you'd copied my idea lol I was just surprised that someone else posted a "drying laundry" shot I can totally see why the colour would shout to you :-)
So far so good with my line - I don't have a dryer so am loving the ease of line drying :-)
