A trip to St Helens

What a night, rainy, cold, defeated and so many diversions On the journey home it took twice as long as planned
Haha that's the closest view I've seen of this place, and I only live about 6 miles away and am often in St Helens. The motorways are a nightmare at the moment at night. We'll just shut this one and that one, they can all drive down that muddy track.
We've also got all the chaos over the new Mersey bridge. They have left old one open till the new one is ready, but taken away almost all the roads off it on the Widnes end. Therefore you can't get over it. Every morning at least an hour to do two miles, sometimes two hours, but don't worry because it's only going to be like that from Easter to November!!!

@markp oh no! I drove as my son had been up for work since 5 am. We were diverted onto a road that was then closed and there was a long bendy one that lasted an hour of TOMTOM telling me to turn around when possible and there being no diversion signs! Not my idea of fun but at least it was a one off, I really feel for those affected by it on a daily basis! Oh yes and for November I'm guessing read January!!
