To make the most of today I felt I needed to focus on the journey and not the destination. It was a beautiful bright blue skied frosty day - perfect for a rail journey, a mini city break and being brave enough for only the second time ever to eat out alone (not counting fast food or street food).
Nice collage of your day. I've never dined in a cafe/restaurant alone, not sure if its because I'm not brave enough or because I think it would be boring or both.
@kjarn haha yes I think it's both. As a single person I sometimes holiday alone though so it'll be nice to not have to always have chips eaten on a bench lol
@boxplayer the book really helped, I was too absorbed to be paranoid that other diners were judging me... Yes I know they've got more interesting things to think about!
@plainjaneandnononsense ha ha funnily, being of more an extrovert persuasion, I hope I will be judged - as some kind of freethinking independently minded bluestocking from a bygone age 🤣
@boxplayer maybe I should because not having done it I just don’t see the appeal. I can eat alone at home where I can wear PJs and sit in front of the telly
