My parents bought me this necklace in 2008, in Rome, while we were on a family trip in Italy. I remember making such a fuss and demanding that they not buy me anything because I was convinced I wouldn't ever wear it. And it's true, the little boutique did have a lot of big, long, bulky jewellery that just didn't fit. Then I found this - a relatively short chain made of white gold heart-shaped links, studded with black onyx pendants. It was so unlike anything else in the place. Dad said, "We're buying it for you and I don't care how much it costs. I want you to have something to remember this trip by and to remember us by."
I wear it almost every day. :)
P.S. This was shot with my 55-250mm lens. I don't possess a macro lens (*yet* :D) so I just used the telephoto lens, fully zoomed in, and stood a few metres away. xD
P.P.S. This is the 4th day in a row I've shot something within the bounds of my room. I promise some outside shots come the weekend!
P.P.P.S. I've finally progressed from 1% to 2%! Yay!

Beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous piece of jewellery!
Am having the same issue with the lack of macro lens! But hey, we're able to work around it, squee! I actually picked up some 'close up/macro' filters on ebay that have done the trick for the time being!
Also jealous of the fact that everyone has amazing cameras... and I just have a silly old Nikon coolpix.
Meesa, do not feel bad, for all I use is a silly point and shoot, too. Sony CyberShot.
