Okay, just so you all know, bees freak the hell out of me. I don't know why I am so afraid of them, but I am. Something about the way they buzz and hover evilly around flowers and have furry bodies just bothers me. But I suppose they have a fairly important role to play in sustaining plant life, so I let them go about their business (so long as they let me go about mine).
No, I did not get nearly as close to this one as the photo might depict. I have my trusty 55-250mm lens to thank for that. :D

i really want to shot them but dont have the opportunity yet...
btw, have you try extension tube? they'll make non-macro lens to focus closer as a macro one (i try it, result just like my bugs pics). it's fun if you love to shot micro/tiny objects... =)
