Today I had a photoshoot job with a hair salon. It was, I must say, an enormous amount of fun. :D Honestly I was a little worried because I'd never done professional *people* photography before, and so I had no idea what it was going to be like! There were some challenging aspects to it, but in only an hour and a half I managed to learn heaps, and I look forward to applying these acquired learnings to my next shoot involving people. :)
(And the model was very nice and lovely to work with, and of course gorgeous! :) )

I like this one a lot, balanced exposure, nice pose and a fun expression, the red accent colour, your tones... oh and she's beautiful too :) Well done, hard to believe you'd have any challenges in photography ;)
wow, incredibly professional. i can see whythey asked you to do this. And yes, gorgeous gorgeous model, but even so, everything in this to me is spot on :-)
beautiful photo! You captured her so well, great expression, lovely lighting & tones. I would be enormously proud of an image like this, you definitely don't need to worry about having not done professional people photos!
I am a hairstylist and you are so right, "hair shoots" are FUN!!! But just as you, the photographer, will critique your captures, the hair stylists will critique the hair much more than the person (model). Great JOB!!!
@irabat haha I'd like to say it was all natural lighting, but it wasn't! There was natural light coming in from the side but I also had a 380EX II flash mounted on my camera bouncing (I think) upwards. :) but yes, the 50mm f/1.4 gets all that light! Such a gorgeous lens :)
Gorgeous shot!
