Classic with a Twist

The arched bridge in this photo is kind of *the* classic thing to photograph in my city. I took this photo of it from a little farther away, and from river-level which is a bit different from the usual views of it.

For those of you who have been following along for a while now, my favourite square in the city where I've taken a few pictures through the year-- Queen's Square-- is on the right side of that bridge. The windows visible immediately beside the bridge are University of Waterloo's School of Architecture. The two spires visible in the photo are the square's two Presbyterian churches (originally, anyway). The right spire is the Gothic church I photographed by night in the spring (I think it was March). The building on the far right with the Celtic cross visible on top is Trinity Anglican. Chris and I both lived in this area when we got married, and the banns for our marriage were read at Trinity.

If anyone reading this watches the show Murdoch Mysteries, you have probably seen the inside of Trinity as it was used for the interior shots of Julia Ogden's first wedding.
Great vantage point for a photo. Very nice shot and a fav for me
