In one of my neighbouring cities, Kitchener, a laneway behind a former department store called Goudie's has been transformed into an urban art space. It's a "pedestrian-first" area with picnic tables, murals done by local artists, and my always-beloved string lights criss-crossing the space. The people hanging out at the picnic table in the back of this photo were listening to music and playing a tabletop game of some kind.
