Sloe down, you move too fast

Sloes are the fruits which grow on the blackthorn tree. Pricked with a pin and soaked in gin with honey or sugar they make a delicious and warming liqueur. This particular jar has been marinating since September last year and will probably be drunk at Christmas.
Sounds interesting. I do like the reflection of your hands in the photo - doubles as a selfie (of sorts) :)

@cathycope I thought that too Cathy :o) I was playing around with fruit for this week's theme and was surprised to see that it's reflected in the glass jar too!

@jenrobcarr Thankyou Jennifer xx You're only meant to drink a tiny glass at a time but I must admit I find it rather moreish :o)

A selfie with a difference, good shot

@michelleyoung Thankyou Michelle. I think it depends on your tastebuds as to whether you think it tastes delicious or not. Some people have told me they think it tastes like cough mixture but I love it...plus the fact I was always rather partial to cough mixture as a child ;o) xx

Fab colors and I love the reflection! Might have to try this sloe.

@kimmiesue I thought everyone knew about sloe gin. We always pick them from the hedgerows like blackberries so the only outlay to making it is a cheap bottle of gin and some sugar or honey to taste :o) xx

@mariboo Thankyou xx

This sounds so intriguing! The color is stunning, too! I've heard of Sloe Gin (Fizz), but never knew what it was/is. I'm definitely going to add this one to my adult beverage list.

I had a bad sloe gin experience once... but have fun! LOL!

@rbobh69 Ooh, I've never heard of Sloe Gin Fizz Bob so I'll have to look into that. I know Sloe Gin is available from supermarkets here in England (not a patch on the homemade stuff of course!) I'm sure it's something which could be found on the internet :o) xx
