Word had reached us that there was a lot of sea grass washed up on Snells Beach, so we gathered the whānau for a expedition to collect some bags. There's a ban on foreshore and rock pool collections due to the disgraceful actions of a few, but sea grass is not included in this. The gardens will love this. The tide is on its way out and Snells is a shallow bay so you'd have to walk halfway to Kāwau Island to reach anything swimable on a low tide
