@ilovelenses here our bluebottles are a "man o war" stinging sort of (not really) jelly fish. Very nasty sting while you are swimming! They are actually a colony of organisms.
@pusspup oh I did wonder of they were related to man o war jellyfish from your title . I do find your fauna so interesting, there are far too few documentaries that focus on your native species . thank you for the info and I'll look forward to setting more of your photos
Our daughter has painful memories of the blue bottles - on a holiday to SA, many years ago. We had no idea what they were ... we do now! Cool capture of them.
