To be clear, the 'aquarium' here is the great Southern Ocean and we are sharing the 'tank' with this beauty. We, however, are in a sturdy cage 30m down, at the bottom of the ocean while these magnificent creatures glide around us curiously.
We were on board a Rodney Fox Shark tour, 3 nights on board at the Neptune Islands.
Oooh. You must be very brave to go down there to watch the sharks and underwater life. I love sea, I really love swimming everyday in Summer but not even if someone offers me a million euros would I accept to be locked up in a glass cage 30 mtrs below sea level. Fabulous experience and capture though. Fav.
Great shot. This is a bit different to the shark dive our daughter did - she was in a cage on the back of a boat while the skipper was burleying to draw in the Great Whites. This sounds much more natural - and less aggressive and scary. :)
