View from Red Hill

The layers were so fantastic but blown out by the bright setting sun. I thought I'd try and experiment and take two shots, one either side of the sun. This is them pasted together and with a black spacer.
Very well done. This is beautiful

Fantastic

The sun set the scene here but somehow the photos didn't have the full up and down exposure. I can't remember what it is called. But even so - its so good... fav

Looks like it was a wonderful sunset. I like both pictures, both have a gorgeous country view. Two delightful captures.

I'd put that on my wall. :)

Interesting idea, excellent result!

Good idea. I thought it was a pole in the middle of the panorama but as I read your commentary and looked again more closely I saw what you did. The landscapes are gorgeous.

Beautiful scenics… could you stitch them together with no border?

I enjoy both images but have reservation about the presentation, I think it might look better as a panoramic.

@kvphoto Definitely stitching with no centre line was an option, but as I had intentionally avoided the sun I thought it would have looked odd. It was an experiment:)
@bob65 thanks Bob, I should probably have taken a pano as well, but this was a bit of an experiment. The sun was quite overpowering in the centre. Just something to try !

I like it stitched so you don’t get that fisheye look from a pano. Was there a reason you added the dark line? I think that each image is beautiful.

Awesome capture.

@shutterbug49 thanks for your input. I needed a spacer for where the sun was. It could have been white or a colour from the shot instead but I went with black as it tends to disappear when you look at it .

@pusspup Thanks, you did mention that, but I didn’t quite get it. Now I have had my ahh ha moment.
May 24th, 2023
Love this; very striking

This is where a filter could have helped - stops the blowing out. Gorgeous layers and colours.
May 24th, 2023
I think this is so effective made so much more interesting presented side by side
Definitely one I’d be very proud of

@dkbarnett Possibly right Delwyn, but I only had my phone! :)
May 24th, 2023
Beautiful colours and layers.

Stunning panorama
May 24th, 2023
Lovely light and good experiment. You can do a content aware fill and with a little pfaffing, as you call it, join the two. It almost makes it in one step.

Congratulations, Wylie on your landscape photo being on the Top Twenty for the week!
