The layers were so fantastic but blown out by the bright setting sun. I thought I'd try and experiment and take two shots, one either side of the sun. This is them pasted together and with a black spacer.
The sun set the scene here but somehow the photos didn't have the full up and down exposure. I can't remember what it is called. But even so - its so good... fav
Good idea. I thought it was a pole in the middle of the panorama but as I read your commentary and looked again more closely I saw what you did. The landscapes are gorgeous.
@kvphoto Definitely stitching with no centre line was an option, but as I had intentionally avoided the sun I thought it would have looked odd. It was an experiment:) @bob65 thanks Bob, I should probably have taken a pano as well, but this was a bit of an experiment. The sun was quite overpowering in the centre. Just something to try !
@shutterbug49 thanks for your input. I needed a spacer for where the sun was. It could have been white or a colour from the shot instead but I went with black as it tends to disappear when you look at it .
Lovely light and good experiment. You can do a content aware fill and with a little pfaffing, as you call it, join the two. It almost makes it in one step.

Definitely one I’d be very proud of
