This is the nr 7 and last pic for the theme doors. I did try to do as much differrent as I have .
This is an entrance of an old (Cristian ) church. And I `ve been told this church is pay to bult by taxes on beer. . Also been told that the bulding has stopped for several years because the people rerfuse to pay the burden of taxion enymore
Beer in those days was a first need. That beer wasn`t as stonge as todays beer
This church is still in use as a church
Water in those days came from canals and moat and they where also used as sewerage. Very unhealty. Beerwater had to be boilt by brewery
so people knows it was save to drink
What a great story, and a beautiful picture. It's sad to think of people drinking water from sewage, but hopefully that has all changed. Great job with the door pictures my friend!
Beautiful architecture picture. So many architectural details on this church building! In my city, many of the downtown buildings are shorter than they used to be because of a tax on buildings. The buildings were taxed by the number of stories they had, so the owners shortened the buildings. This tax is far in the past and before I moved here.
