Fav. Ferry. I know the tulips are planted to harvest more bulbs..so are they also harvesting the actual flowers for selling as cut flowers. I understand that the tulips actually have to wilt while the bulbs stay in the ground. is that correct? btw great picture.
@bruni The farmer grows them to get bigger bulbs. Often on a contract.
When the bulbs are big enough they are sold all over the world. They cut of the flowers as then the bulb grows better. No wast of energy by getting seed
