I'm trying to read & understand Saxa's comment... Without understanding the language, It would seem she's asked if the blooms are all cut off and left to die... Well, good for the two of you that you're both more multi-lingual than I obviously am! (I do better in Mexico & Spain...)
It is a little heart-breaking to a tulip lover so see those blossoms laid to waste! I could plant tulip bulbs in Nova Scotia, but I'm told the deer eat all the booms! Still, you've given us a nice lesson about the tulip trade!
oh wow...I didn't know they headed all of the flowers like that...it really makes for a cool shot! I need to go back to our fields and see if they do this there too. fav
Wonderful collage. It is sad to see the tulip blossoms cut off, but I do know that is how the bulbs get big. I like how the row lines create angles with the two photos side by side. A fav
A wonderful ending shot! Your tulips shots have been so beautiful this whole time and I've learnt a lot about them! Can't wait to see what else you have in store! :)
Have really enjoyed your tulip shots and this is a perfect way to end the collection! Love how you did your collage with the rows running in an angle. Lovely!!!
@overalvandaan@Weezilou Try an explanation to my best.
The Tulip flowers gonna make seeds (Like every fertilize flower do) This will cost the tulip energy she can`t use for growing. And seeds gives not seem species so tulip farmers don`t use it. . In autumn they harvest the bulbs , clean them and for multiplication they damage the bulb a little so there come little bulbs beside them next year. ( that`s a natural process ) Those are on this fields to be growing .
The cutting is done mechanically . No need to harvest the flowers .They soon will be gone/disappear by nature.
@gerry@vickisfotos@wannabe@bruni@debihas27@daisymiller + 2 others , Thank you for the fav.`s. I`m very pleased with them. @mittens , nothing last forever. Soon there is a new tulip season. @lilminimonka : if I tell you : some other flowers will you be surprised ?
To all of you: Thank you so much for you great support and very nice comments. I did `ve a great day to day , thank you, but this is the cherry on the cake.
