Wooden ``Klapbrug`` by pyrrhula

Wooden ``Klapbrug``

This wooden bridge, we call it a ``klapbrug``, named by the contruction to open it. To be found (more than one) in the Dutch city Zierikzee. It has become a protected national monument.
Metaphorical bridge to 2017. Happy new year to you and Ina!

Mooi! Ik heb vorige maand een foto gemaakt van een dergelijke brug ergens in Friesland.

P.S. Mijn dochter (@halkia) is na een lange 'break' opnieuw begonnen op 365. Leuk om haar elke dag even te 'zien'.

Gorgeous capture of this bridge. Very interesting if it is a drawbridge. Sorry but I didn't see the darts game - not one of my favourite sport.

A nice view of the bridge works; the chains and pulleys to open it and what looks to be a lock to lock it in place.

Great POV of the arches!!

How interesting to see something in your region that's a protected national monument. You must have many interesting (perhaps "old") bridges?
