De Koe (Cow) is a flour mill on the edge of (the town) Veere . It is a round, brick-built tower mill from 1909 and whitewashed in the Zeeland tradition. The mill is covered with zinc and has a flight of 23.50 meters . It is an iconic mill that is clearly visible from all sides. The Cow is grinding.
The mill was built on a site where a ground sailor from 1736 was previously located . However, this mill was burned down
Very atmospheric. Really reminds me of living in Lincolnshire. Ploughed fields, dykes, and big skies. Lovely landscape opportunities. We had a working five sail mill not far from where we lived.
