The two sides of a typical barn. by pyrrhula

The two sides of a typical barn.

There are mainly two typical farms in this area.
A farmhouse that is conected with the barn and the one`s that separated.
This is a separated one. This barn has two differend sides. One higher and from wood with the entrances in it. The other side is lower and often from briks maded.
It's such an interesting construction and so different from the ones we have here. I suppose each is designed for its own particular purpose. Great collage!

Interessant. Waarom dat verschil in een hoge en een lage kant?

It is a diferent construction from what I am familiar with. I wonder too the reason for the difference in the materials. Thanks for giving me something new to look at and ponder on.

I remember these barns well

I find this strange. There must be a reason why they are not made completely of bricks or completely made of wood. Having said that - you have taken two beautiful shots of this lovely barn. It looks in impeccable condition, too.
