Day 3: Yellow - black cat in the old graveyard

We disturbed this cat having a comfortable snooze. The yellow weed is ragwort, poisonous to horses and other livestock.
Hazel, great picture. Now your combining a black cat in a grave yard? Glad I'm not superstitious. Great picture seriously, love the touch of yellow in the flowers.

Linda, I'm not superstitious! I saw the possibility of this shot the day before when out walking my dog Jinks but did not have my camera. I have to say I regarded the black cat as a bonus when we returned the next day and found him snoozing! In England a black cat crossing one's path is supposed to mean good luck but I don't know of any ideas surrounding graveyards.

@quietpurplehaze I was just kidding. In the US, people regard black cats as bad luck, but not me. He was an added bonus, it's seriously a great picture.

@granny7 Well that's interesting, Linda, black cat for luck in England and black cat for bad luck in America! (It re-inforces my distrust of superstitious ideas!)

Hazel, this is truly a capture! The black cat is in the act of jumping so you did very well to get him. I like your photography!! I also like old graveyards.

@gnilrets Sterliing, thankyou. I actually thought I had missed the cat jumping as my camera seems a bit slow for this type of shot so I was chuffed to find that I had got him. I wonder why you like old graveyards - the feeling of quiet or maybe reading the words on the tombs? I couldn't readthe inscription on this one.

Lovely shot of a typical English church yard, plus the added bonus of a big black moggy! He contrasts nicely with the yellow ragwort.

In our country it`s bad luck. ( If you believe in it ) I don`t think so many horses will visit the graveyard and cats prefer mouses.
Great view on that beautiful yard and the cat as a bonus

lovely capture, even a touch of yellow on one of the headstones. I love the cat too.

What a fantatstic opportun moment to capture Yellow and Black. I love the historic look of the graves compared to the rich black coat on the cat. Did the cat see Jinks?

@ness50 @creativeamateur Thank you for stopping by and nice commenting - I'm not sure if it was me or Jinks who frightened the snoozing cat....

@tishpics @pyrrhula Thank you, both. I was lucky to find the cat. He wasn't there the day before when I first had the idea of the shot!
@pyrrhula Ha, I agree I've never seen a horse in the graveyard.
